WEEKEND WRITING WARRIORS #19

Welcome!

I know I promised the proposal, but this little scene popped into my head for Book #3. Yes, I know. I still have to finish Book #2 - but the muse is gregarious. I wrote it down before I forgot. This is the first draft, so I'm sure it will be fleshed out a bit before it sees an ISBN on its front page.

I give you Lord George Kerr...
“Darling, as much as I love our trysts, are you sure you won’t allow me to…relieve some of your pressure?”
The dulcet tones of the raven haired beauty currently draped in a seductive manner on the settee drifted across the room to the table where Lord George Kerr sat. He lifted his gaze from the papers spread before him and glanced at Madame Reauchard, or as she’d been known in a previous life, Countess Anstruther.
“Evangeline, you know our agreement. I attend your exquisite establishment and you whisk me away to your private room whereupon I gather information for King and Country.” He grinned at her sultry pout. “Now, be a pet and make some noise. Otherwise your girls will think I’m not a satisfactory lover.”
"If you only knew how envious my girls are of me, they're convinced you are Casanova reincarnated. How they would laugh if they knew we only drink tea and talk."
There are other authors who post their 8-10 lines each weekend, you can find their links HERE.
Remember to hug someone you love today.
