WEEKEND WRITING WARRIORS #26

And... we're back. We've discovered George is a whiz with the knife and Madame Reauchard a freak of nature with her gun. I'm glad they're the good guys. Are you wondering why the more cultured thug recognized Lord George? And, when will Lord George figure out who he is?
All in good time, my pretties.

So, we continue. George stated, "Remind me to never challenge you in a duel, Madame Reauchard."
She lowered her arm and cut him a sideways glance. "You are most fortunate I like you, Lord Kerr, otherwise that may have been you on the floor."
He took hold of her free arm and brought it to his lips, murmuring against her skin, "I am forever grateful you didn't shoot me in France."
"Bah, you are a terrible flirt." She tugged her hand from his light grasp and signaled to Colleen. "Help us find out who these two Cretans are."
~~~~~
"I'm afraid your cover has been compromised." Lord Grayson clasped his hands on his desk and peered at George over his glasses. "You're quite useless to us now."
And remember, hug someone you love today. You'll never regret sharing your love, they may not be here tomorrow.
  1. Useless is really bad, especially when people have guns!
  2. He may be useless, but at least he's alive.
  3. "Quite useless" is rather a harsh judgement. So what comes next? I NEED to know ;-)
    1. So, *tapping tips of fingers together with glee*, my evil plan of keeping you in suspense is working....
      You just tapped your fingertips together to see what I was doing, didn't you?
  4. Sometimes useless things have a way of becoming useful in a completely different way. I wonder if Lord Kerr will be one of those? Love the interaction between George and Madame Reauchard!
    1. I say that because I have loved ones I can no longer hug, talk to, fight with and generally be 'family' with.
  12. Nice scene. Too bad he's useless now. Or not?
    BTW, the link to my post is bad. I left off the “T” in blogspot, hence the red screen and warning. So sorry. It should be: http://dianeburton.blogspot.com
